Greg Jackson

Greg Jackson CBE is the founder and CEO of Octopus Energy Group, the UK’s largest energy supplier and a global energy and technology company working to build a more affordable, sustainable energy system.

Octopus serves 11 million customers worldwide, including eight million in the UK, and operates across 27 countries. The group manages an £8 billion renewable-energy portfolio, alongside businesses in electric vehicles, heat pumps and solar power. Its technology platform, Kraken, is used by energy and utility companies around the world.

A serial entrepreneur and angel investor, Greg has built two technology companies valued at billions of dollars: Octopus Energy and Kraken. He is a prominent voice on energy, innovation and climate change.

Greg was appointed CBE in 2024 and named among TIME magazine’s 100 most influential climate leaders. In 2025, he became a non-executive member of the Cabinet Office Board.
