Few subjects are more politically charged, or more easily reduced to slogans, than migration. Yet the movement of people across borders is not an aberration of the modern world. It has shaped nations, economies and cultures throughout human history.
Historian Peter Frankopan joins politicians Sayeeda Warsi and Danny Kruger, who approach one of the defining questions of our age from markedly different perspectives. Together, they explore how migration has remade societies across history, why questions of borders and belonging have become so politically combustible, and what today’s arguments reveal about Britain’s sense of itself.
